Do you offer international shipping?
We are currently only selling within the United States. If you are outside the U.S. and would like to purchase our products, please send us a message to help us gage international interest.
Are your products eco-friendly?
Yes! Every item is made from salvaged material, helping to keep textile waste from from the landfill, as well as conserving resources that would otherwise be needed to make the items from completely new fabric. Most of our material comes from old clothing or linens that are no longer usable in their original form due to stains or rips. Some material is leftover material from someone's old sewing project that was going to otherwise be thrown away. All these used textiles are donated to us, mainly from family and friends, but complete strangers as well!
Why should I purchase upcycled items?
Textile waste accounts for 92 million tons of global garbage every year. This accounts for over 7% of landfill space even though discarded textiles are generally not totally trash! Textile waste comes from both ends of the industry lifecycle. Waste is generated in manufacuring from scraps, as well as misprints and overstock. While waste on the consumer end comes from items that have worn out their useful life as well as from fast fashion discards.
Are the items made from 100% upcycled material?
No, however, they are majority upcycled material. New material is used for: thread, labels, zippers, and batting (if used). All the fabric that you can touch is upcycled! It is hard to say the percentage. For example, the toiletry bag, which has no batting is roughly 99% upcycled, while a mug rug is closer to 70% upcycled.

We are constantly searching for the most eco-friendly options for the materials that we do purchase.
What is the process used to make your products?
All donations are first washed to ensure that the material is clean and safe for the washer and dryer. Then clothing must be cut to remove seams and any unusable parts of the fabric, such as a stain. Once we have clean usable pieces of fabric the creative part begins: selecting different colors and patterns to create an item or group of items! After all the material is chosen, the pattern pieces are cut out and sewn together. Most of our products are quilted. This means that a layer of batting is inserted between the top and bottom and they are sewn together by creating a design all over the item (such as stripes, checkerboard, etc.). Lastly, any additional edging or parts are added to the item, along with a label. Each item is one of a kind and ready to ship by the time it is listed on the site.
